RIS OBAPAO

RRIS OBAPAO

The Observatory for Biodiversity and Protected Areas in West Africa (OBAPAO) serves as a regional reference hub for data and information on biodiversity and protected areas. It was developed as part of the BIOPAMA II programme, funded by the European Union. The Regional Reference Information System (RRIS) provides data, maps, and reports useful for decision-making regarding biodiversity management in West African countries.

Socioeconomic Dashboard

Socioeconomic information provides an understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political characteristics and conditions of individuals, households, groups, organizations and communities within and surrounding protected areas. It can thus help managers identify potential problems and focus management priorities accordingly.
